@digitaldomain123 Action-packed Limbo?
-
@soren I've been hearing about this game; Limbo. I've recently looked into and I had no idea this looked so similar to it <.>
-
@digitaldomain123 I'd recommend it- it's a great game. Your style is actually pretty dang similar to how that game is played.
-
@digitaldomain123 Bro your style looks great. Want the rights to my original character I created called skully? It's the only thing I have been able to successfully recreate and it's similar in design...
-
@soren I saw the game play for it and its a lot like what I had in mind for game since its supposed to be a 2D Side scroller type game. I feel now that I'd be ripping off Limbo now that I've seen the similiarities.
-
@derpy128 Do you have a link?
-
@digitaldomain123 no, unfortunately I don't have a scanner. I could sketch it up quickly and snap a pic and post it if you like.
-
@mastertdi Thanks >.<
-
@digitaldomain123 Other games have come out with a similar style but people have just been calling them "Limbo-like" and really haven't been talking about a rip off. From the looks of it your gameplay will probably be considerably different so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
-
@derpy128 Well if you have an existing pitcutre of Skully already then you can take a pic of that and show me, if not, then go ahead and draw it up. Just take your time, I don't like seeing rushed images.
-
@digitaldomain123 It's intentionally sketchy though.
-
@soren Well the thing is is that I don't actually have a gameplay laid out for this idea yet. I do however been thinking about changing the name to "Yang" following up with another game called "Yin" and the idea is that whatever obsticals you get by to get from point A to point B will cause new obsticals for Yin in the later game idea or vis versa.
-
@derpy128 Well you can go ahead and show me either way. But again, take your time and I will be happy to take a look at it. Even if its suppoably sketchy, I'd still like you to take your time with it. A modow every artist should follow as well as viewers is "You can't rush art".
-
@digitaldomain123 You certainly have the mind of an indie dev =P
-
@soren The thing is is that I never developed a game before and if I follow through with this over time, this'll be my first experience. And thanks for that. ^^. I'm also working with a friend of mine on this idea and he's planning to help me all the way with this if it goes official.
-
@digitaldomain123 I can't promise quality because I'm a bananasty artist but it's more of a quick concept character.
-
@digitaldomain123 Cool beans. Keep us updated- I can beta test for you if you like, I an generally a pretty good QA guy.
-
@derpy128 Its okay. I appreciate you offering me a character. Though I may not accept it depending on the way it's designed opposed to the style for my game. But I can still take it and draw it in my own style if you want.
-
@soren I'll try to now that I know I've grabbed the attention of some you on here. Thanks for the critique!
-
@digitaldomain123 Oh it is perfect for your art style. This was done with pencil at school so the quality is not the best, but I have much better versions at home in my sketchbook. This is the best I could do away from those, but I think you'll like it.

@digitaldomain123 DAMNIT WHY IS IT SIDEWAYS?
-
@digitaldomain123 Fixed sideways-ness. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/813528
-
@digitaldomain123 I thought the sideview was the best for you.
-
@derpy128 Alright. I'll doodle it up here soon. :)
-
@digitaldomain123 Cool. :)
-
@digitaldomain123 hey not to rush you or anything but did you finish skully yet?
