@derpy128 I also love that one line in Close Your Eyes where Zach from RATM says "I'm miles ahead of you, you can sip my appleses brew" because it's a really witty double nod to Miles Davis.

@derpy128 I've listened to RTJ2 a lot since it came out (actually, even since before that as there was a leak a little bit before the official release). Repeated listens defitnitely yield positive results, I really love it.

@northernnarwhal that seems to be the case with most good hip-hop or any music in general. I picked up so many musical subtleties the second, fourth, and even fifth run through QOTSA's ...like Clockwork.

@derpy128 Oh yeah, I thought that was record was pretty good when I first heard it but by around the fourth or fifth time I was just absolutely head over heels in love with the record.

@northernnarwhal it's like Pink Floyd. You listen to it the first time, and it's good. By the 6th time, (if you're not asleep,) it's amazing.

@derpy128 When Pink Floyd were good, they were REALLY good, but when they weren't it was awfully boring. That being said, I do quite enjoy a handful of their records.

@derpy128 It would much harder to break up my tastes, I've listened to a lot of music from every major decade so there's stuff from everywhere in there.

@northernnarwhal about same with me, but lately I've been listening to genres like Stoner-rock and grunge, alternative, (good stuff) indie, sludge, power metal, trip-hop and pretty much any Unsane side project.
