@erkan Yeah, I heard about tree-style conversations being separated into a plugin. Still I like to think of StatusNet as an old version of GNU social (considering StatusNet's website is no longer available).

@techdisk One day RDN would probably migrate to GNU social and still would do it's own thing :-).

@xrevan86 heck, we here at RDN have a fully functional mobile site, tree conversations (which I actually don't use), and formatting on SN 1.0.1.

@techdisk @redenchilada It will be nice to see these features in mainline :-). I remember days when RDN was based on 0.9.7, and now 1.0.1 ;-).

@xrevan86 I'd love to eventually genericize RDNPlus (the plugin that enables BBCode and client-side notice filtering by tags) into something that can be used with any old SN/GS site. It's probably mostly compatible as-is; it'd just need some site-specific terms changed and a separate stylesheet for the formatting, since I think that's built into the site's stylesheet right now.
