@northernnarwhal i have long-comp MCAS on thursday. 6 and a half hours of sitting in the same seat in scilence writing a story on a prompt they give you. it's gonna be the worst thing ever

@northernnarwhal long comp is the WORST. the first time you take it is in 4th grade then every three years. all MCAS testing is all day. if your not done by the time the bell rings, to bad for you

@northernnarwhal me to. MCAS is the massachusetts one and all grades from 3rd grade up do at least 3 different subjects every year in the spring. its awful

@bakarainbowdash I'm from Ontario, Canada, and we had these standardized maths tests when I was younger called EQAO and everyone would always call them "Evil Questions Attacking Ontario". I don't even remember what the acronym actually stood for.

@bakarainbowdash My exams this semester are just Advanced Functions (which is basically high level maths), Philosophy, Astronomy, and Creative Writing.

@northernnarwhal it's the only public highschool in the town and there are 8 elementary schools so alot of families with young kids move here so alot of kids come through the school system. my class is the biggest to come through since 1980

@bakarainbowdash What's interesting about my school is most of its students are actually outside its district and are just going there because of its arts programs.

@northernnarwhal i like it fine. the teachers are nice and they do offer some cool stuff like the ACE program i got accepted into. i don't adore it though and i'm totally sure there are way better schools

@bakarainbowdash I feel I'm kind of the same. I wouldn't have the opportunities to pursue myself musically as much as I do if I went to a different school but mine's not without its flaws.

@northernnarwhal that is exactly the same or me. i wouldn't have the best tech ed and engineering program in the state if i went to another school but i also wouldn't have to take latin and alot of other stuff so yeah

@northernnarwhal i would like to, yes. it is one of the rare classes that intrests me and i find i actually understand a lot of it and enjoy it. it is also a good career to persue in terms of getting a job so i wuld love to go into that field
