@metaltao It's pretty good. It's like an MMO without all the things that usually make MMOs bad.

@metaltao It has a bit of grinding if you want to get maxed gear/raise your rank a lot, but nothing too bothersome

@metaltao Admittedly I've put a lot of time into more grindy mmos (i.e. WoW), but Warframe is at the very least a lot more fun to play than WoW currently is.

@metaltao I started losing interest in WoW when they decided to make an entire expansion around an unimportant race no one ever cared about, then completely lost faith when they decided to reduce one of Warcraft's greatest heroes into a common villain, while making several of Warcraft's greatest villains utterly irrelevant.

@metaltao It was basically them bringing back a ton of characters from Warcraft 1 and 2 as attempted fanservice to older Warcraft fans, but they did it really poorly and wound up upsetting a lot of older Warcraft fans.

@nerthos I wish I had been that smart. Cataclysm was alright for the first few months, but it was all downhill from there.

@pandabear I saw all the changes to skill trees and didn't want to download another expansion so I just dropped it. Didn't play as much anyway by that time.

@nerthos I quit playing mid Cata, mostly because I had invested enough money and time in the game that I really didn't want to quit. I still sort of keep up with the expansions, hoping they'll do something that at least has some interesting lore to read about, but so far it's been nothing but disappointment.

@pandabear MoP was so dumb. Pandas are cute in all but they aren't nearly cute enough to warrant an entire expansion. It's funny because by the time the last raid tier came out Pandarens were already irrelevant to the plot.

@skyllie I don't understand how they can be so out of ideas when there are so many expansions begging to be made.

@pandabear I got smart and played private servers with no subscription. Eventually made a 3.35 server myself to test things and do really old/inaccessible questlines like the Scarab Lord one using admin privileges to do it in a day or two instead of weeks. Basically run through the lore without hinderances. Still have it around.
