@mastermushi Yes you should "master" ... ... On a more serious note, why "master" ?
-
@critialcloudkicker I passed the master degree selection exam :3
I finished the 5th book a few daysago, so i thought it coul dbe worth watching, but i feel lazy -
@mastermushi On a sidenote, Game of Thrones season 5 will begin on the 8th of April. Trying to plow though S1-S4 will take you roughly 37 hours of bingewatching.
-
@critialcloudkicker 37 Hours is a lot of hours
-
@mastermushi Congratulations master :3
If you already read the books there is no real reason to see the series IMHO. Unless if you can watch it with someone -
@critialcloudkicker well, there is no one for me to watch with, so i think i will pass, then
-
@mastermushi Howlong did it take you to go through the first book ? If it was anything less than 12 hours, wow. You're superman supermastermushi ?
-
@mastermushi Seen Legend of Korra yet ?
-
@critialcloudkicker well, it takes about 3 hours for me to read 100 pages. The first book is about 800 pages long, so it took at least 24 hours to do it if i kept an stable reading, which probably didnt happen
But it probably took like months, i dont remember anymore -
@critialcloudkicker no, i thought of watching but then i'd have to watch the first avatar series first
-
@mastermushi Haha, that is a nice estimation, most people just go "*shrug*Idunno"... also half a page per minute is almost bragworthy :)
-
@critialcloudkicker well, half apage in a minute is sure better than my 3 minutes per page...
-
@mastermushi Well, I only have seen S1 of Korra ( and all of Aang, in a mixmash of Dutch/English ( since it was on TV )) ... and... yeah... You pretty much do not need to have seen Legend of Aang to enjoy Legend of Korra. Unless if you are one of those lore-people. You know the kind, those whom go study WW2 before playing Wolfenstein the new Order. Not required at all, but nice in case you must know the finer details.
-
@critialcloudkicker oh, well, that is nice, i will see if i watch it, then
-
@mastermushi Well, reading a story is way different to reading a scholarship-worthy textbook. Which in turn is way different from reading an encyclopedia.
-
@mastermushi It's pretty good and all but not quite as good as the books
-
@zazie well, i sort of expected that
-
@mastermushi It's definitely better than a lot of book adaptations, but it's gotten worse lately.
-
@zazie well, with 13 episodes per book they have a lot of time to show things rights. Specially because 45% of GoT's content is overdetailed descriptions and historical things that dont go in the series
-
@mastermushi True, but in the last season they still some how managed to leave stuff out
-
@mastermushi IMHO there is only 1 thing "Wrong" with Season 1 of Legend of Korra. Or rather, people have been telling me it is not their cup of tea since it was released. I bingewatched the whole thing so it did not bother me much/at all. S1 seems to have 2 story-arcs mashed into 1 season, at the same time, one of which has a little bit "it is tough to be a girl"-drama mashed into it. Which was not well recieved with my friends whom I know do not have empathic and/or compassion power to spare.
Even then still, it is a good story IMHO, enjoy it. Acting like a female kanine about the subject never made anything better anyway. -
@critialcloudkicker well, i will see if i like when i have initiative enough to watch it :v
-
@mastermushi Hah, sounds like my life ^^
