  1. You know, everyone I've talked to about Evangelion will either fall into the category of:
    a) Love it
    b) Hate it
    c) Didn't get it
But I feel I'm in the minority of people who understood it and liked it but didn't quite love it.

    1. @northernnarwhal Thank Luna's lucky shoes that there are likeminded people. I thought I was the only one

      1. @critialcloudkicker I definitely enjoyed the series I just don't think it's the greatest anime of all time that's it's so often praised as. I don't even think it would be in my top 10 if I were to make a top 10.

        1. @northernnarwhal I kind of fell out of the boat in 2011 when it came to actively watch Anime... But I think Gundam: X After War might become part of the top 10, Also the 8th MS team. And that might be all Gundam on my top 10. Although Seed might also be on there if I have the room to spare

          1. @critialcloudkicker I've watched a lot of anime but never quite sunk my teeth into gundam all that much

            1. @northernnarwhal All gundam series are pretty much "Once, there were space colonies, and they had a squabble with earth" I have not seen much of the Universal Century ( the biggest one ). In Wing the colonies are/feel oppressed and send super-terrorists in mechanized suits to Fudge-it-up !. In Seed the space-colonists are "coordinators", a special sub-breed of humans created for perfection. All-out space battles ensured. After War Gundam X is pretty much what remains of earth after the war is over and the space colonies all came crashing down on earth. If I were to recommend one I'd say go with Seed or X ( X if you can get over dated graphics any day of the week )

      1. @coltz Oh yeah, forgot about that. I guess I implied that the people I talked to had seen the show prior. I'd definitely say it's a series everyone who considers themselves an anime fan should watch at some point and form an opinion on, regardless of what that opinion is. One of the greatest things about the series is that it's a great conversation piece regardless of how you feel about it.

        1. @northernnarwhal I will, it's just that I /really/ dislike characters like Shinji.

          1. @coltz Yeah, the characters in the show are a mixed bag but the actual writing itself is probably the show's strongest suit. There is a lot of strong psychoanalysis and very prominent symbolism.
