@rednorth Attack on Titan is good but it's really overrated and also frustratingly incomplete

@zazie I don't think it's at all bad to be honest. I actually think it starts quite strong, then hits a bit of a slow point, but the second half has some incredibly competent writing and character development. It's not the masterpiece its fans make it out to be but it's hardly the trash its detractors make it out to be as well.

@rednorth I thought it was good, just not spectacular. Overall I did enjoy it though, there's some good character development later in and the 3D maneuver gear scenes are absolute eye candy.

@rednorth I feel like my biggest problem with the series is its direction, more so in terms of the drama than the action (since the action scenes are generally always really well framed and delivered). A lot of the dramatic scenes, though well written, often come off as incredibly abrasive because the series has no grasp whatsoever on the notions of subtly and nuance. Everything is always incredibly loud and shaky and scenes that are intended to show triumph, grief, fear, and other emotions all just give a sense of intensity instead, and this heavily affects the immersion of a lot of key scenes.
