            @scoot Oh, I'm sorry to hear about that. Fingers crossed you find something that works. You got Monster Hunter 4U, right? I've been meaning to pick that up, I was playing the demo with my brother earlier today and it's really fun, definitely a big improvement to 3.

              @northernnarwhal With any luck once these new ones kick in I'll be alright. Yeah, that's the one, I enjoy that it lets you pick from so many different strategies so I keep completely refreshing my interest in it by just using a different weapon for a while. Very very good fun

                @scoot Yeah, there's more variety than any other game I've played in the franchise so far. Plus the game trims a lot more of the introductory fat that was prevalent in earlier releases, I feel more compelled to play since the actual fun starts sooner.

                  @northernnarwhal This is my first Monster Hunter game and I got into it very quickly, the tutorial is over quickly and then you just get hunting.

                    @scoot Yeah, some of the earlier games spend WAAAAY too much time making fish and gather items and stuff before you get to really fun hunting.

                        @scoot Yeah, I like that it does a lot more to get the player confortable with different playstyles so then when the player goes to forge newer and stronger weapons they know what to aim for based on the playstyle they've developed from experimentation. Exposure to all the different types of weapons was a smart choice from the developers.
