          @toksyuryel Can't you dump the livecd's (known good, since you're booted from it) config, and then tweak from that until you find the point where it breaks your system?

            @bitshift That's pretty much what genkernel does which is why I was trying to use it, but seeing as that doesn't want to work I may have to fall back on that. Will probably give it a try when I get home.
