  1. I know it's easy to throw a term like "over-analysis" around when discussing television, film, literature, etc. but I think being critical of whatever you enjoy is a healthy way to both further appreciate a work as well as facilitate your understanding of it through discussion. I think saying "I like things that I think are good" and "I dislike things that I think are bad" sort of begs the question as to why we even like or dislike things in the first place. This isn't to say something can't simply be enjoyed on a superficial level, but more that awareness of your media is a great tool to have for your consumption of media.
