@rarity That all sounds like the kind of stuff I really like in a story so I'll check it out sometime. Recently I've actually been checking out the manga for Ping Pong since I absolutely adored pretty much everything about its anime adaptation.

@northernnarwhal @zazie it's really the best manga I have ever read, bar none. Jojo comes close but let's be honest, Jojo is just a fun thing. This is deep, complex and thoughtful.

@rarity I don't actually read a lot of manga, so I don't know if I have a favourite or not. Cross Game actually has some really strong character writing, and currently I'm digging Ping Pong a fair bit. I wasn't head over heels for the anime but I really liked the artist's style for the Gunslinger Girl manga. And Yotsuba&! is dumb fun if I want solid comedy.

@northernnarwhal I don't read much either. Basically the only series I follow right now are Jojo and Dorohedoro, and the only other series I've read to completion are Death Note and Bakuman. I tried to do One Piece, but I just became exhausted with it and dropped out like 120 chapters in

@rarity oh and I /was/ caught up with Attack on Titan, but I stopped reading after they were on the horseback chase for like almost a year

@rarity Yeah, also most of my favourite anime are either original productions or based on light novels or regular novels.
