like being human is a reason to be happy

@mushi But it is! It's just that being human isn't solely being happy, and reconciling that is a big part of developing emotionally. Vulnerability, fragility, and tragedy are things that come with life and being, they're things we deal and compromise with and though we shouldn't be happy about those specifically it's the sheer fact that they even exist in the first place that we can be happy. They give us a frame of reference to even establish a concept of "happiness". Essentially it's only after you down the bitter that you can really appreciate the sweet. Our blatant cracks and blemishes are what make us so amazing, they drive us to continue to improve and refine but also just to understand each other. Being human isn't about being idyllically perfect, it's about embracing imperfection.

@northernnarwhal Rubbish. Humanity is awful, life is awful, everything is awful.

@riley I'm just going to say I disagree and don't really want to have this conversation here.
