@m14brony you got one?

@mushi Yeah. I accepted it, but the process isn't finished yet (I recently took a drug test).

@m14brony congratulations! i have appled to a few places myself, but i have a huge time avaliability problem

@mushi Fortunately, time availability isn't an issue for me. I will be dealing with a temporary wage cut, as I am starting at the beginning of the "wage ladder" somewhere else. However, I should be able to make up for this temporary cut by taking overtime. Not to mention that I will end up getting paid much more than I am now in the long run.

@m14brony sounds like you got it all planned out

@m14brony well, im a master degree student, though i only have like 8 hours of class a week (not counting + 4 hours of japanese class), there is the time i need to work on my research and the time to study, so i get only a little time left

@mushi I see. I would have dealt with those complications if I went back for law school, especially as a nontraditional student in his late 20's. Hopefully your coursework will eventually be less hectic.

@m14brony Congratulations!

@northernnarwhal I'm glad I found something, especially after spending 14+ hour days between work and college courses for two years. It was certainly less expensive and less risky than some of my original desires (spending the better part of a decade in a university and/or law school).

@m14brony I'm guessing it law school junk was extremely boring;)

@mrdee sorry my eyesight kinda spazzed a bit

@mrdee I would have probably enjoyed law school, given my interest in debate and analyzing facts. Of course, that field is heavily saturated in the US, so I didn't want to risk ending up with a mortgage-sized student debt and being in an irrelevant job.

@m14brony it all depends on where you go to really
Saturday, 11-Jul-15 00:50:06 UTC from web-
@mrdee It is an issue around where I live. For instance, some of my classmates had friends that graduated form law school (and passed the bar exam) that weren't able to find relevant jobs. Not to mention that even if there were jobs available, I would be highly selective about how I would work as an attorney (my interest was in representing employees that were subject to illegal workplace discrimination, not defending a criminal that I knew to be guilty).

@m14brony its best to look for a job like that in large cities
Saturday, 11-Jul-15 00:57:48 UTC from web-
@mrdee I'm not too far from the two largest cities in the US state of Minnesota.

@m14brony What's truly important is that you enjoy whatever you choose to do
Saturday, 11-Jul-15 01:07:22 UTC from web-
@mrdee I enjoyed doing HVAC work in the technical college's lab; I am sure I will enjoy doing it for a living. :)
