!vgp Who here remembers Black Mesa: Source? You know, that remake of Half-Life that's been in development for 7-8 years? There are new screenshots, and it sounds like it's legitimately on the way this time: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.442026219149526.104628.391087910910024&type=3&l=ea8acec8ee

@thunderdash Why does this sound like a repeat of the development process of Duke Nukem Forever?
-
@thunderdash At the current rate, EP3 will be out before it's finished.
-
@toksyuryel They're just emulating Valve's development model for Ep 3.
-
@thunderdash I am offended at how the developers don't respect the original design of the maps, nor the original polygon count in wich the first dev team worked so hard.
-
@toksyuryel Main reason I thought it was big is because the devs have said they don't like stirring up the userbase unless they've got "something big". Considering that they've avoided media releases entirely until now, and the devs have hinted about the release date themselves, I don't think it's unlikely it'll be out before the end of the year. Or I might just be naive and hopeful, either one :D

@ceruleanspark Even if it is, at least we've got some sort of confirmation that Black Mesa's legitimately being worked on. I trust Valve, but they've been rather cagey about HL3/Ep3. I'm sure they have their reasons for it, though...
