The single worst thing about long distance relationships is that sometimes you just want to punch the other person and you can't

@redenchilada It's not the same without the comforting feeling of flesh against fist, the searing pain, and being able to tell them "break your promises again and it'll be worse"

@redenchilada Hey, I'm a patient man with many things, but to me promises mean something. You can't just change your mind about one. If you promise complete honesty and then decide to keep secrets, you deserve being punched.

@nerthos It's kind of a good thing your relationship is long-distance then IMO

@redenchilada Hey, I'll take a punch gladly if I go against my word. I'd do anything for her, but I can't stand being betrayed.

@nerthos I dunno man, I just think solving relationship problems with violence just leads to bad news. You don't want a relationship based around fear.

@redenchilada This. A million times this. If you need to resort to force to resolve relationship problems it's reflective of an insecure power complex that doesn't want to solve problems as much as selfishly get only what you want when you want it.

@redenchilada I want it based around trust, but when someone promises something and doesn't keep it, that person earns a hit. And thad rule applies to me too. It's not about fear and it's not about taking out frustrations through violence, it's about showing that some things just aren't ok, and no amount of patience and love will make them ok.

@nerthos honestly you could replace "punch" with anything and it'd still be true
