On the bright side, I'll likely be able to get a new one over this or next weekend. On the downside, that means I'll have to find a good time to get things transferred over. Back over on the bright side, the weekend three from now will be four days off, so I'll probably be able to do everything then.

@redenchilada I still use my old laptop for my music library as I haven't transferred everything to my Mac, but I use my Mac for everything else

@northernnarwhal See, I'm a total packrat so I'm gonna transfer over anything that I have even the remotest chance of wanting before I start using a new laptop. In fact, I might look into getting a housing for this laptop's hard drive and just using it as an external to simplify things hehe

@redenchilada The only thing I haven't transferred from my old laptop is the music that's on it and that's just because it would take forever due to the sheer amount of it on there, plus I usually just listen to music on my phone while on the go anyway. Everything else I need has been moved to my Mac.

@northernnarwhal The only thing that could stop me is if A) a housing ends up being too expensive or B) there are problems beyond what running chkdsk with a non-bananaty computer can fix
