@metaltao congrats, you learned something?
MetalTao likes this. -
@pandathehedgehog Yes I did! Impressed actually.
Win-Some... How is that a word? What's its history?
NEW QUESTIONS! That I wont have answered readily. -
@pandathehedgehog Also! Hello!
-
@metaltao winsome, it means appealing in appearance and character. In a sentence, "zazie was incredibly winsome last time I saw him."it's a Middle English word
-
@metaltao yes, hello
-
@pandathehedgehog Oh... Thanks!
-
@pandathehedgehog If I recall correctly, it's rooted in Old English though, right?
-
@northernnarwhal it might actually be old English. I just know it comes from wyn, meaning joy if I recall
-
@pandathehedgehog Yeah, "wyn" (or sometimes spelled "wynn") was used in both Old English and Middle English and meant joy in a literal sense.
-
@northernnarwhal I am no expert on the English language, I just picked up a lot from Riley over the years
-
@pandathehedgehog Neither am I, really, but I enjoy reading when I can so I'm certain that helps.
-
@northernnarwhal oh for sure
-
@pandathehedgehog also what's this I hear about you and Nate hanging out? I didn't even know that was happening, I'm so happy for you two.
-
@northernnarwhal oh yeah, he was in town for a bit and we got to hang out. It was pretty nice.
-
@northernnarwhal I was actually kinda surprised when he asked if I wanted to hang. His opinion of me has seemed fairly low lately
-
@pandathehedgehog I'm no authority on this, but I think it's really healthy for Nate that he got to hang out with you given the recent events involving your friend. You're a great friend for him and I'm glad Nate still has someone like you in his life, I'm sure both of you had a delightful time.
