    1. @bobo Nah, I'm sure you're not that bad considering your age.

      1. @northernnarwhal Honestly, I think I'm kind of expected to be that way because those are the type of kids I hang out with, but I don't even like them.

        1. @bobo With that in mind though, you'll be off to high school soon, and when you're there you'll be exposed to a much larger social crowd relative to the one in your current school. Though with that in mind, you still have us here!

          1. @northernnarwhal You guys are my real friends.

            1. @bobo I'm happy to hear that. I'd consider you lot very good friends of mine too.

          2. @northernnarwhal @bobo And then comes university, and if it's anything like it was for me, 95% of the people there are nice to talk to.

            1. @skellythos My university is pretty small and doesn't have a huge bustling social environment, but the people are generally pretty nice.

              1. @northernnarwhal Mine wasn't super social either, being engineering, even though there were thousands of people in it. Everyone would mind their own bussiness after class. It's just that you could start a conversation with anyone and walk out saying "hey, what a nice guy"

                1. @skellythos With mine it's just that it's a really small specialized career college, and there's a huge age range since lots of people are just there to learn and go home. So there isn't really much of a social environment, and most people just mind their own business, but you can usually get into casual conversations with people.

                  1. @northernnarwhal Oh. That kind of kills it a bit. In mine most people would be 17-30 for the first few years, and share many interests, so it was really easy to strike conversation.

                    1. @skellythos Most people at least have the common interest of music here since it's why everyone's at the school, but the age range is huge (I think I'm the youngest here along with maybe one or two other 18 year olds). I've been able to strike up casual conversations with people though, and my schooling won't end after I graduate from here.

                      1. @northernnarwhal I guess that might be a big difference. Music has a whole lot of different ideologies and ways of thinking, while engineering is way more homogenous. People still have completely different interests and outside lives (I went to a course with both a DJ and a tank pilot) but they all have a similar practical way of thinking.

                        1. @skellythos Yeah, there are a ton of different ideologies and tastes here. I'd say the two biggest crowds here are hip-hop and heavy metal, but I've also met fans of EDM, pop, R&B, punk, and psychedelic music here.

                          1. @northernnarwhal Where I went the biggest differences in ideology were some being more friendly to a political party and some to another, but even then I saw no one who was militant in it or anyone. Biggest argument I saw was about what sandwiches were best.

                            1. @skellythos We recently had an election here which brought out the political disparity in the student body, but there aren't really big arguments that ever go down
