I wish I had any real reason right now to use homebrew on my 3DS but at least the launcher's available for me

@yodelerty I really haven't used my 3DS for anything in a while
-
@northernnarwhal wow get Fluffle Puff on tyler's 3DS
-
@northernnarwhal I've been on a Kingdom Hearts binge so I'm using it for that
-
@yodelerty Wanna try out http://pny.lv/yhbt with me
-
@yodelerty Dream Drop Distance?
-
@redenchilada not really tbh
-
@bobo apparently, yeah
-
@northernnarwhal yeah
-
@yodelerty Dang
-
@redenchilada sorry mang, besides I hate taking my SD card out because I'm afraid of stripping the screws on my N3DS
-
@yodelerty Get the FTP server app and you can just internet everything to it
-
@yodelerty I don't wanna hurt my precious little Majora's Mask baby
-
@redenchilada sounds complicated
-
@yodelerty How are you liking it so far?
-
@bobo wot
-
@northernnarwhal Well I had already beaten in the past but I'm trying to 100% it. It's okay as far as Kingdom Hearts games go but the drop mechanic sucks.
-
@yodelerty I've played a bit of it and would agree, I never liked that mechanic either. From what I've played the game's solid overall though.
-
@northernnarwhal It's fun, decently difficult on critical mode. I'm level 99 and some of the rematch bosses still kick my ass
-
@yodelerty I just played on standard cause I suck at video games
-
@northernnarwhal So do I, I just like to suck on harder difficulties
-
@yodelerty >So do I
>100% BoI all achievements unlocked -
It took 400 hours, that's just persistence
-
@yodelerty You still did it tho
-
@yodelerty I just like to play at a level that's challenging with being too uncomfortable so usually that means going "normal" in most games, especially if I'm new to them
-
@bobo took too long
-
@northernnarwhal *without being
-
@northernnarwhal That's fair, games are meant to be fun
-
@yodelerty Typically, yeah. That's the rule but there are exceptions to it.
-
@northernnarwhal I won't play a game if I don't find it fun, like what's the point
-
@yodelerty I guess for me games have a lot of appeal in terms of interactive storytelling, so I think there's a give and take as far as goals of games can be concerned. I mean, I can find a game like Smash Bros really fun because I can viscerally engage with it and enjoy it on the merits of the speed and depth of its gameplay alone, but with a game like Shadow of the Colossus "fun" generally isn't the first word that comes to mind when I think of it. More like "isolating". Sure, it feels incredibly rewarding to figure out how to defeat a boss and go about bringing them down in these massive triumphant battles, but everything in the game from its writing to its visuals to even the movement of its inhabitants screams this absolute emotional agony. The game puts this immensely distant weight on the player's shoulders and it's this incredible command of atmosphere and feeling that really elevates the game. So its goals aren't as much to be "fun" as much as to facilitate a player experience
-
@northernnarwhal Huh. Well no wonder I never could bring myself to beat it. I got bored and forgot about it
-
@yodelerty Yeah, SotC is definitely not for everyone. It's a really idiosyncratic game with really specific goals, so if you don't connect with it emotionally you probably won't like it.
-
@northernnarwhal I'm probably not smart enough for it
