@julianproxy Yeah FMA's a good starting point. My cousin finished the main series and is almost done with Brotherhood right now.

@julianproxy I prefer the original, but both are worth watching. Brotherhood is much more faithful to the manga.

@noelnarwhal Yeah, that's always been the opinion. I guess it helps having the manga finished when animating, huh?

@julianproxy Depending on your narrative priorities, yeah. I thought they handled the ending of the original really well though, it had great thematic closure. Too bad Studio Bones colossally screwed up the Soul Eater ending cause the manga wasn't done at the time.

@noelnarwhal Agreed on the original FMA. Can't comment on Soul Eater, but I trust your judgement there, for sure.

@julianproxy It's still a solid shounen series holistically, and there are a ton of really well animated fights, they just really drooped the ball on the ending.
