    why is it such a seemingly normal thing for married couples to hate each other? I see so many jokes and stuff about that and it utterly baffles me

      @spots I think it came with the fact that way in the early days marriages were way early in the people's lives if not flat out arranged, so it just became a trope that married couples wouldn't get along. That and a blowing out of proportion the usual couple spats.
