The lesson I learned today? Love is but an illusion that keeps life's appearance desirable. Real love is unattainable and nearly nonexistent. Those who fall and love and have offspring are simply following a natural instinct to procreate. Love is not a real thing, it's a nice idea that brings simulated happiness for a time. That is all

@northernnarwhal no, just my depression coming back

@sprocket If you hinge yourself on the concept of "real love" you'll never find it. Love is a complex conversation between people as much as it is a facilitated emotional response. Love isn't an illusion, that's just something people who've been rejected tell themselves to feel better. It's okay to be sad, I've been through breakups before, but that doesn't mean love doesn't exist or that you can't find it.

@northernnarwhal well what am I supposed to do after this many tries? I'm getting tired of being pushed away
-
@sprocket You need to learn self-respect before you can learn to really love others

@sprocket obviously I don't have the full context of your situation, but the way I see it, it might be best to just stop setting yourself up for disappointment; take it easy and let things happen naturally, and try not to force something out of everyone you see potential in.
