        @mcnalu I was thinking to throw them out! The leather was so dried out I was soon to wear through them to the steel toe. This paste wax stuff could have helped me save some boots in the past! #

      @nybill treat leather well and it will survive a loooong time! I've had to throw out 15-year old shoes because the soles were irreparably broken, the leather still fine :(

        @mk Bring them to a cobbler! They can usually patch up the soles. (Or put new ones on when its a Goodyear welt.) I threw old boots out when the leather started letting water through (due to wearing thin or holes right through.)

            @mk Fair enough. I realize now, some of mine weren't. I gave up in them too quickly. #
