    I listened to The Life of Pablo earlier tonight. It's an enjoyable record for the most part, but I don't know how to describe it other than "an absolute mess" (which in its own way feels reflective of Kanye itself). It that sense, the record actively assumes its identity from its own lack of cohesion and forms a sort of smorgasbord of emotions and ideas. It doesn't always work, but at its core it's still a diverse album full of neat melodic tricks and genre beats that feel oddly revelatory.
