Not really sure what this whole "find a word from the book and find out what it means and then copy the sentence and replace that word with a synonym" exercise does for me. I feel like find the words you don't know and use them in your own sentence is better, and I kinda enjoy doing those.

@spots You're right, using a word correctly in its own context is the better way to demonstrate understanding of its meaning. Asking for the original sentence with a different word that has a similar meaning divorces the importance of the original word in the context of that sentence, and demonstrates not that you know how to use the replaced word but the word you replaced it with. Your homework is lame.
