@noirbatch An i7 and 8GB of RAM? Well played, sir... (Is that a desktop or laptop? I would lean more toward the latter, for various reasons, but it'd be good to actually know.)

@noirbatch Eh. Mine's a laptop, and it still plays just about any game that I've thrown at it this far, so (given that was the only thing I couldn't already do on a laptop before this one) I don't see any compelling reason to continue to have a desktop machine once my present one (similar spec, except with an older Core 2 Quad) eventually dies. I mean, if I need it to be on a solid surface, I can just put it on the desk. :)

@bitshift True, I just love how powerful I can make a desektop. Since I work with large editing projects, after effects, and maya. my laptop seems to get a little overwhelmed with renders
