@narwhal well... I think X&Y has holes that need filling. definitely not necessary but we'd probably buy it anyway because we're all terrible

@tiffany True, but I think if we were to get a Pokemon Z it would really only exist for its own sake without adding context or perspective to XY.

@tiffany Eh, this is all open speculation. In any case I'd case rather get a (purportedly) new game as opposed to XY repackaged with a few new bells and whistles.

@tiffany Pokemon Z existing would feel more like fanservice than a game I'd really be interested in, like it was a game GameFreak were obligated by fans to make out of an arbitrary need for a third game.

@narwhal same, I guess new pokemon content just never feels like an actively bad thing in the abstract (though not always actively good either)

@tiffany I feel like if I'm gonna get roped into buying a new Pokemon game I'd prefer one that actually had some new Pokemon

@vriska Oh, I love Pokemon too, and you can pretty much sell anything to me with Pokemon attached to it, I'm just openly speculating about the franchise.
