    I always thought on the Mac Ctrl is only used for control chars like Ctrl-C & Ctrl-H. That's sth that Apple has done right.

      @kylewm I remember when I heard (20y ago) that Windows uses Ctrl-C for copy-paste,I couldn't believe they'd use Break (in terminal) for Copy

        @mcscx Some # terminal apps used to use the old DOS Shift+Insert for pasting. Now that I'm usually pasting from Notepad or Wordpad, I use the mouse for that.
