@gameragodzilla If WOW is any indication, they'll do it every time sales slack.
-
@gameragodzilla Will it affect the game? Sure, if sales slump enough, look at Cataclysm.
-
@maiyannah @gamergodzilla I fear it'll be another TF2: incredibly interesting supplementary material, boring to the point of accelerating aging when it comes to gameplay.
-
@nerthos It's basically Blizzard's MO.
-
@gameragodzilla @nerthos I remember when Valve wasn't a apple company.
-
@gameragodzilla @nerthos Probably, search the steam market. I'd offer to pick you up one but with the new steam trading restrictions you literally wouldn't see it for a month because I didn't give Valve my phone number.

@nerthos @gameragodzilla @maiyanna I do not know much about Overwatch other than that I like it and I have bought it. I hope it will do well. I know there are a metric ton of traps they can fall in if you look at things like TF2 and even Titanfall. Point is, the current gaming scene is so terribly fleeting and toxic that my inner gamer has retreated to it's happy place, never to interact with hype or the train thereof. Along comes Blizzard whom can jam a new game down people's throats ( just look at HotS ) if needed be. It'll be an interesting thing to behold for sure. Now will people complain about there not being enough to do before the end of this month ? Yes. And will people get burned out by this Class-Based-Objective-Arena-Shooter if blizzard is not carefull ? Yes ( sorry Battleborn and Paladins ). And if I look at past releases and gaming pitfalls as of late, it is actually very likely that this Overwatch thing will crash and burn before long. But I really hope it does not.

@gameragodzilla I do like the cards. I collect the ones I like and sell the rest.
-
@gameragodzilla My issue with TF2 is not the hats or the community or anything like that, it's that the gameplay is simply as boring as looking at grass grow.
-
@nerthos @gameragodzilla At least the community is chill compared to LoL. God, I'm somewhat of an elitist in general but I'm nothing compared to the LoL community
At least in TF2 in most random servers, nobody gives a FrankerZ if you play like a foot. I really liked it because the community was just that chill. LoL? No chill, ever -
@coolboymew Well, why would you play a moba in the first place? I despise any competitive online community as they're all toxic. Only community I can really praise as far as online games goes is Guild Wars 2, but that's because the game is made specifically so people cooperate instead of fighting eachother.
-
@nerthos I didn't really. I might've played DOTA2 for 20 mins and just went lolnope quickly enough
I usually hate online games like these with no end or goals other than doing matches until the end the times. I like an actual end to my game and possibly a reasonable 100% completion.
TF2 might be pretty much the only game like this that I've played so much -
@nerthos Well that's an issue with a lot of MP only games and why I've enjoyed Splash Damage's titles over the years. They have multi stage objectives for each map so each game stays interesting
-
@coolboymew Yeah, I completely agree. I only play single player games, or online games with a campaign/quests. A game where there's no progress gets boring in just a few hours as soon as you learn the maps. I tried to get to rank 12 on heroes of the storm as at the time I played hearthstone and the background I'd get was nice, and I couldn't make it past 8 before dropping it out of boredom. Players who like that kind of games make it to 12 in two-three days.
coolboymew likes this.
