@normandy Wow, the PS4 finally have some games!
-
@coolboymew PS4 > Xbone. But PC is still master race.
-
-
@normandy Why would do this terrible thing
-
@maiyannah Why not?
-
@normandy Because steam is awful and the PS4 is an overpriced space heater.
-
@maiyannah You probably could run a game from GOG on it.
-
@normandy Yes if I wanted an inferior experience.
-
@maiyannah Lol. If anyone really wants a serious gaming system, PC is still the way to go.
-
@normandy I can make a considerably stronger machine than the PS4 for the same price as one costs retail. I used to moonlight doing exactly that when I was more into the whole tech industry thing. These days I'm a bit like Statler and Waldorf, I'm not part of the show but I'm part of the show.
PS2 and PS3 gen the appeal was it was a prebuilt system with fairly decent specs on the cheap. It filled a niche. PS4 and XBox360 are both more expensive than those used to be, not much stronger, and a bananaing embarassment compared to a PC in that price range.
Not to mention how much they try to lock you into the walled garden these days.

@normandy Yeah, but exactly what can you run on a PS4? Running OGL games will be MUCH slower than standard PS4 games.
-
@dolus If someone manages to port Vulkan over, it might change. But like I've said to others anyone who really wants a serious gaming system should go PC.
