      @critialcloudkicker Counter thought: humanity always has been. In the silent film era big crashes of trains were a huge thing. Hydraulic presses fit in the same gap, only less dangerous.

          @critialcloudkicker Not completely but mostly yes. People still climb without safety equipment and post selfies and stuff.

            @adiwan *thinks about it* ... Maybe selfies that do draw blood are the only sort of selfies I do no loathe. It captures a moment of "stupidity incarnate" or karma, maybe ?... But yes, good point. Then again we do not gather around a fallen climber because we want to be entertained, but rather the climber decides to climb without safety equipment because it gives him/her a rush.
