      1. @maiyannah I can't blame him, it's hard to get traction for a standalone site. Standing up a gnusocial instance gets you people you can interact with right away, which really helps with uptake. A lesson against walled gardens I guess.

            1. @moonman Agreed.  If he stood up something that federated with the fediverse it would have been much better received.  LFG is probably not an ill-intentioned walled garden, but it's still a walled garden.
