Ever since making a few changes in my life I before thought were meaningless to my mental health (well whatever's left of that) I feel generally and genuinely better. I don't feel like I have to go nuts in order to release because the same things that bothered me before, don't seem to now. Maybe arter 33 years I've finally learned to let things slide, flow, do as they will. And make the decision better as to what's worth manipulating and what should just be let go.

@awl it's good you've figured out how to do that. I'd imagine it takes time because I'm angry and anxious all the time but I'm much younger than you

@rarity i just get to thinking too much about social stuff. Like how to act. What someone thinks of me.

@awl ah see my worries are more philosophical and political

@rarity i never really had those thoughts at least not to debilitation. Far as philosophy goes I've done enough in life to know what I believe. Far as politic goes as long as things aren't made in danger or the lives of those I care about aren't impeded I don't care.

@awl maybe I'll get there

@rarity well having passion has its benefits. The way I am makes it seem I'm complacent to many.

@awl complacency usually brings an overall better life to be fair

@rarity yeah but it's not all about the individual.

@awl Stirner would say it is

@rarity eh. My upbringing and experiences keep me from believing in nihilism.

@awl I'm talking more his work on ego but I see your point
Saturday, 20-Aug-16 23:52:02 UTC from web-
@rarity oh I'm not totally familiarised with his extent of work or philosophers in general. Never got in to studying it.

@awl Stirner is really fascinating, but that may just be me and his work actually be boring, I don't know. the main concept I refer to is basically that STirner says even when we do altruistic things like helping others, it still is a self-serving act. That's incredibly boiled down but the basic idea
