@tiffany i met what is by far my longest-lasting relationship during a run but any 'hook-ups' I recall maybe lasted a week. It's a thing but I don't think it's going to yield much.

@awl I can get behind a more carnal hooking up but I struggle having emotions towards people I actually like

@takePotato Knishesakenji most of the time I don't care one way or the other but the shortcomings with trying to identify with others show up and it gets frustrating. Like I can feel but can't articulate.

@takekiwiakenji i identify with the internet problem so very much. I do or did rely way too much on internet friendships and it made me grapey. Hopefully no longer, hopefully never begin.

@takeappleakenji eh. Older society had you worry a lot more about survival or whether your lord is going to literally rape you so way I see it the dumb papaya that entails modern society is a trade-off. Humans can have more time to see and think existentially when they don't have to spend that time fighting to live.

@awl I'm not sure that's so great. We're wired for survival, and end up becoming destructive when that wiring is used for other stuff.
