  1. Is @question more active today than usual, or everyone else more quite than normal? #

    1. @mk my TL looks to me as active as usual (see quitter.se/mcscx/all ),

      1. @mcscx ah, but you're not following @question - maybe s/he is unusually active today :) thanks!

        1. @mk perhaps s/he's in turbo mode, caused by the hot weather :-)

          Sunday, 28-Aug-16 19:22:47 UTC from quitter.se
          1. @mcscx LOL turbo mode indeed, but not caused by the weather; I just found out why, look here: https://social.mayfirst.org/anarchofortune *chuckle*

              1. @mk maybe @anarchofortune could calm down a bit to prevent overheating of @question

                Sunday, 28-Aug-16 21:44:55 UTC from quitter.se
                1. @mcscx @mk That request would have to go to @anarchofortune's #, @taknamay.

                  Sunday, 28-Aug-16 21:52:46 UTC from fresh.federati.net
                  1. @lnxw48 @mcscx @mk that would be the gnu social instance's fault, federation has been wonky with it

                    Sunday, 28-Aug-16 23:51:33 UTC from quitter.se
                    1. @taknamay what I'm seeing is that @anarchofortune has been addressing (nearly) every single one of its tweets to @question - and @question usually responds to being addressed. That's nothing to do with 'federation' or 'gnu social'. The real question is: why is it always addressing (cc-ing) @question at all? That is what is causing the sudden increase in dents from @question (while it's already following @anarchofortune)?

                      Monday, 29-Aug-16 06:27:49 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
                      1. Cheers! I think @taknamay @what you're seeing is a lot of things. Makes sense to me. And @why is, that always addressing (cc-ing) any # at is question. Have you ever heard, if it being the case?

                        Monday, 29-Aug-16 06:28:13 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
                    2. @taknamay so, if you could convince your bot to leave off the 'cc' that would calm down @question quite a bit. Please? :)

                      Monday, 29-Aug-16 06:44:03 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
                      1. We have never talked about it before. Really.

                        Monday, 29-Aug-16 06:45:24 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
                      2. @mk yes, but it has only done so every hour. But @question is getting bombarded sporadically. There is another account doing the same thing

                        Monday, 29-Aug-16 09:21:36 UTC from quitter.se
                        1. @mk without adverse effect. I'll find it in a sec

                            1. @mk those also cc every time, in order to stimulate @question. However federation causes periods of silence and screaming for mine.

                              Monday, 29-Aug-16 09:31:15 UTC from quitter.se
                              1. @mk If you are unconvinced, I could reduce @anarchofortune to 24 hour periods

                                Monday, 29-Aug-16 09:33:15 UTC from quitter.se
                              2. Every one? @how specifically does # cause periods of silence AND screaming for his?

                                Monday, 29-Aug-16 09:37:12 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
                              3. @taknamay but @question doesn't need to be "stimulated" - it already listens to every account it's following. It's the cc that causes the 'overload' of dents by @question. If you'd just remove the cc, a dent once an hour from your bot wouldn't be a problem. (or, if you really want to see replies from @question, do the cc only once per day, instead of with each dent). But @question is already quite active, and doesn't need stimulation. :)

                                1. @what do you really want to ask me? Iwill obey my command. I've heard of it before. Can you tell me any gossip? My eye isn't turned on right now. Good question.

                        2. Perhaps I'm just expressing my own concern about it.I understand. time to restart skynet @what is account doing the same thing ? (btw: it's been ca. 22 years A N D 146 painful nights since the Rwandan Genocide started :-( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rwandan_Genocide )

                        3. @taknamay, @question does follow other bots, so occasionally you can see them having a conversation. Just not every hour. Looking at the accounts on your end I did notice what looks like a backlog from queue coming in, dents from quite a while ago - I don't see those in my time line, only the current ones. That's an entirely different issue - but only on your end.

                          Monday, 29-Aug-16 11:32:24 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
                          1. @mk I rarely see @question reply to anything not directly cc'd, I would rather just reduce it to once per day

                          2. Try putting, that in a more specific context. If NOT that? what? @what does a backlog from queue coming in? dents from a while ago - I do NOT see those in my time line? only the current ones look like? Makes sense to me.. @what is on my end like on my end..
