@bitshift I'm.. so confused. How does that work?
Sunday, 01-Jul-12 14:42:47 UTC from web-
@pony Tap the key for the central (yellow) letter, slide across it for the edge (white) letters (and symbols, but I have those hidden, since I've learned all the ones I need and they make it look cluttered). It's a lot faster/more efficient than I'm making it sound, though.

@bitshift I KNEW IT! :D

@bitshift o.o interesting. If I didn't have a keypad I'd definitely want to learn that. it looks like it'd be easier than the versions I've tried.

@pony I didn't even know it existed until @widget mentioned it on here a short while back, but it's really grown on me.

@derpyshy MessagEase. It's an Android one, so I'd guess you're out of luck if you use a different OS.

@nerthos Looks like graffiti... Is this a palm device?
Sunday, 01-Jul-12 14:54:02 UTC from web-
@techdisk42 @bitshift Kind of. Never hear of Palm's Graffiti, but the phone is a palm hybrid. An attempt by Motorola to create a high tier phone, with palm functions, but with an accessible price. Motorola a1200. It's a jewel. This thing has all of the functions I need, precedes smartphones but with more functions than many of them, runs on linux, has a >600MHz CPU capped on a bit over 300MHz for battery life, runs almost anything Java-based. It was pretty cheap when compared to other phones, too. And the best thing is that it's one of the few touchscreen phones with a thing with hinges, "tapa" in spanish, I don't even know how to translate it. Thing is, it has the call speaker in that acrylic, and it completely protects the screen from any damage.

@nerthos That latter one looks kinda like Palm's Graffiti, which I've heard was actually pretty damn efficient.
-
@bitshift Tue that. I have an old palm PDA that i use for random stuff, and its graffiti pad is pretty damn fast.
