    Maybe. On some contracts, they can fire you whenever they want to. One time, I was fired after a week and a half in... and I was told when I got home. Fired that day, I was told to not go in again. I thought it was some kind of joke at first... but nope.

        It was a temporary contract. We have a lot of those. Perhaps I should have followed it up... I don't know what is acceptable or not. I asked the woman who fired me whether it was acceptable, and apparently it was legal? But maybe I was misled. She wasn't the usual person I dealt with.
