If my kid is threatened by an alien and it states it will kill my kid if I don't follow this alien, I would say "Eat bullets." and give the alien more holes they could count.

@foxgopher A civilisation that can travel through light speed or even faster as well as the fact they'd be able to find and home in on other life forms of intelligence as well as create technological wonders that make us look like pre school kids with paint on our hands? I honestly don't think so. But that's why I left a 1%, someone out there may be stupid. But I think that's only our race.

@mrdragon But that is likely. Immune systems could be different due to the aliens homeworld. Now, If we are dealing with a xenomorph-like creature then that doesn't matter. In that case Guns help.

@eaglehooves Why bother nuking it from orbit? Propelling any massive object down from orbit at speed will cause a phenomenal amount of damage without any lingering radioactives.
