  1. If you want to post a nice photo or image, fine. But if you want to say something or you like to quote someone, please use text. I.e. a string of unicode characters forming words. Not images. Text usually needs much less bandwidth. Text can be read aloud by software for visually impaired people. Text can be magnified. Text can be searched. Text can be copied and pasted. Text can be quoted. Text works in non-graphical programs. Text rules. Thank you!

    2. @utzer I like 140 chars as an art form, and for scannability. But as people now work around it with images, 140 chars is dead.

      1. @clacke @utzer Many Twitter users overuse graphics & images, even when they aren't just working around T's outdated character limit.

    3. I guess posting images has something to do with Twitter where it's seen as way to circumvent message length. Let's post image with lots of text, yeah!
