@bronymike We can't ban links
-
@bronymike what are you even talking about?
-
@redenchilada @mrdragon My WeLiveFine link. I had to remove the HTTP and the WWW from it for it to get posted. Kept getting server errors otherwise.
-
@bronymike Well that's a server error, not banned, @ceruleanspark will want to know about that
-
@bronymike It's youtube that gives server errors when you try to post something they don't want you to post. If you get a server error here then it's an actual server error and something that needs to be reported and fixed.
-
@bronymike The servers have been a bit tempermental lately, yeah, sorry about that.
-
@toksyuryel It ticks me off that youtube bans < and > from descriptions instead of escaping them. (At least, they used to.) :/
-
@redenchilada You'd think google would know better.
-
@bronymike you have to copy and paste the message instantly after you refresh the page
-
@bronymike Basically what happens is: When you try to post a link, Statusnet checks the page for content to make a thumbnail with. Sometimes it doesn't return any, and just posts the link, other times it /thinks/ it's found something but can't get it, and promptly crashes, returning an error 5XX. We don't control when this happens, and I've never really been able to get to the bottom of it. Your best bet is to just hammer the send button until your link posts.
