@crusader8 @hakupony I'm terrified of failure in relationships myself. I'm working on it... but unavoidably there's only so far you can take it on your own!

@hakupony Me too, I must confess. If someone takes an "interest" in me... my first reaction is to run. Very far. Very fast... I carry an industrial stapler around with me these days.
-
@hakupony I dunno, I rationalize my and reasons of failure before I even talk to a woman, usually stifling my own will to even attempt anything. If there's such a thing as someone who you're meant to be with, I probably missed that chance long ago and can now only hope for a silver medal.
-
@crusader8 I don't believe that... it is, of course, possible that there are other things stopping you from having fully connected in past incidences and you're being a tad hard on yourself... and you merely have yet to find that person with whom connection will be unavoidable.
-
@pawnheart I don't think I'm fated to be with someone, but I'm behind the idea that circumstances will arise which will seem unavoidable when viewed in retrospect.
-
@crusader8 I don't necessarily mean "fate"... more that you'll probably find someone that will be so much more suited to you than past instances (maybe in ways you hadn't consciously considered) that it will be next to impossible to stop its momentum - in a good way. ...incidentally, I'm addressing myself here, too.
-
@pawnheart Ahh... hope. It's given a bad rap these days, but I think it's bloody useful.
-
@pawnheart It's not the fate thing as much as just any reasoning which suggests a consequence regardless of personal involvement. I know better because I have the power to mess up and ruin things for myself in these situations. So it isn't just peaches and cream as long as I bump into the right circumstances. Bedtime.

@crusader8 Well, I was more suggesting that meeting this person would cause you to nudge over preset boundaries... I don't believe things "just happen" like that either. Anyhoo, nighty night! Sleep well
