    Damnit! What is my EEE's password! I changed it ~2 years ago after mistakenly typing the PW into IRC. I'm going to have to liveCD/Chroot-it.

      @nybill adding init=/bin/sh to the kernel parameters generally also works, you just need to: mount -o remount,rw /
