    @cphuntington97 @xj9 @alpacaherder The "didn't want compatibility" part is not exactly right. They wanted everyone to switch to a pump compatible protocol. Now that # is defined, that will soon be the way to interop with #

      @lnxw48 @cphuntington97 @xj9 @alpacaherder It was less "didnt want compatability" and more "didnt add it" - at least until later on, they did have a (now-defunct) site which was a GNU social bridge.  I wonder if that code is available actually, I'm not sure, but it would just need shoved in GS and bam you'd have federation right now, with what's left of the pumpio network anyways
