  1. I liked Warframe before the ships thing.  They changed so much with that update that its almost not even the same game anymore.  The game balance just got bananaed in such a fundamental way I don't think it ever recovered.

    1. @maiyannah The calling in ships for support thing?

      1. @nerthos No when they changed from the freeformish progression of rails to a hard and fast set progression that you MUST DO THINGS in that SPECIFIC ORDER.  If you didn't play it prior to that it's hard to explain since I don't have graphics from before then.  That change also corresponded with the genesis of the balance changes you were discussing with the electronic legume.

        1. @maiyannah Oh, yeah. The kiwity new map. They ended up rolling it back. I agree that it was utter crap and nobody liked it. The multiple choice rail system was better and thankfully I already had all planets unlocked by then.

          1. @nerthos Even the map they went back to is papaya compared to the old-old one.

It's a shame because I kind of like the lore and asthetic of the game but its become quite clear over time that Digital Extremes have no clue what they're doing when it comes to the actual game design/balance part.

            1. @maiyannah Haven't seen the rolled back map, only heard of it happening since I haven't played since uuuh... the vs npc pvpish event?

              1. @nerthos Basically it's halfway between the new and old.

Gradivus? The Grineer vs Corpus event where they started manipulating progress data right in front of the players because one side was badly losing?

                1. @cyberpotato Nah, a while back they did these missions that were like conclave but against NPCs

                  1. @nerthos @cyberpotato I remember that.  That was .. just weird, IMO.

                    1. @maiyannah They were fun to me, if just because they were a bit different from usual gameplay. I never do actual pvp.

                      1. @nerthos They were basically trying to make competitive PVE.  I didn't play enough of it to have strong opinions for or against it.  I just found it strange.

                2. @cyberpotato @nerthos That was the last time I played regularly because jesus christ it was obvious it was being fixed.  I still pop in occasionally on the vain hope they maybe unpapayaed themselves though.

                  1. @maiyannah @nerthos They started rigging them as best they could cause they really didn't want one clan to win anymore.

It became a battle of butthurt devs VS autists with too much time on their hands.

          >solar rails
They appleed up that FrankerZ twice as hard as they were going to because they caught wind of the # clan's plans to own most of the solar system.

Instead of minor inconvenience they made it worse for all the players so their biggest embarrassment couldn't do as well.

    2. @maiyannah They've been Fluffle Puffing game balance since it went open beta, they can't work to a deadline and not be FrankerZing tards about it.

      1. @cyberpotato There were a couple times they found equilibrium.  But they couldn't just leave it then, no, they had to keep changing things, so it never lasted.

        1. @maiyannah They rely on power creep to make money, they even structure their events so you can pay platinum to get the OP reward a week ahead to be effective in the event.
