  1. Probably the few reasons I don't use # by choice anymore:

    1. cmd.exe and Powershell are still not quite as nice to use as zsh or even bash.   The language of the first is pretty bad by modern standards, and the tab completion of the first two is terrible.

    2. The Windows Registry is a piece of Fluffle Puff compared to flat configuration files.

    3. The Windows Event Viewer is a piece of cherry compared to flat log files.  Heck, it's even worse than journalctl from systemd.

    1. A coworker was telling me about how Windows 10 is installed on machines these days: A 'standard' image is put on the disk, and the 'installer' just resolves all the driver and whatever problems of it.   There is no restore partition.

      When a 'refresh' of Windows 10 is desired, it just blows away the registry and some other things.  Can't reinstall from a restore partition that doesn't exist, after all.  Microsoft has basically admitted that there's no less disruptive way to clean up a Windows installation effectively.

    3. @takepapayaakenji i can see what you mean, zsh is a really nice operating system and its built-in ftp client is truly amazing
