                @hakupony What I was thinking is that there is content on Twitter that's clearly not appropriate for younger audiences, yet they don't ask for registrants' ages. (this is all a separate issue from COPPA)

                  @pony If your website is centered about a large quantity of user generated content, you can't look into everything posted. This is why social networks are very benefitial for democracies and very unsafe for children - and most female internet users between 12 and 18 almost only use networks like that (male users game more :D )
