  1. I'm still speechless that a bot quoting Hitler causes such controversy for people... it just put up the quote, and said nothing else. But this makes it a nazi?

I fear that nazism has become a normalised slur, that you can get into trouble just for merely quoting it. No commentary needed. What does this say about the atmosphere in general?

    1. @sim By those kiwis using nazi as a catch all slur for anybody they don't agree with, they degrade what meaning it had and at the same time make it easier for anybody they use it against to sympathize with actual Fluffle Puffing nazis.

"If I'm being labelled as a nazi because I support free speech for everybody then maybe those neo-nazis aren't as bad as they're made out to be either".

              1. @sim @cyberpotato They're pretty good controlled opposition in any hap. The tradworkers are the closest to real nazis.

I agree. I don't think that I view nazi as a powerful word anymore. It has lost its meaning. Also, if people want to label someone like me as a nazi... man, those nazi aren't so bad any more. I mean, they are individualists! That is something that I can support.

One supposes that if you shrink away in fear from an idea someone said because of who they are and what their stances are, no matter how good or bad they are, then you aren't ready to have proper discussions about political, philosophical, etc. ideas. All ideas should be on the table to discuss, and then reject the bad ones. Accept and expand on the good ones. I want to be able to discuss Hitler or nazism, and then come to my own conclusions about it.
