      @somercet Not sure what they'd need more defense money for. It'd be much better to optimize what's already there as there's a lot of wasted money in things that aren't really useful or are poorly executed, both due to obsolesence of materiel and organization, and overextension.

        If we kill Federal "student loans" we can increase military recruitment and cycle people through faster. (More people, shorter enlistments.) The Navy needs more ships.
        Procurement of new weapon systems is entirely broken. Everyone involved in procurement needs to agree never to work in Govt, .MIL or defense business again. Even the larger pensions required to make this scheme work would pay for itself. @nerthos

          @somercet As I said, optimize. Even out big one time spending with savings down the line to keep the total spending over time relatively steady but do more with it, and most certainly cut on unneded bureaucracy
