        @nerthos For what its worth I disagree with CGP Grey that Nova Scotia "failed" - they established a colony that made a decent profit, it just didn't make the huge trading profit that Scotland arguably "needed" with their financial situation before colonization.  

        An important context to their colonization efforts is they were struggling financially at the time, and they say England and France making big bucks on New World trade, and wanted in.
